Our cozy café offers free-roam playtime and relaxation for adoptable cats — a calm, loving contrast to the noisy shelter environment.Come sip, snuggle, and support Johnson County’s first cat café, where every visit helps save feline lives!
What to expect
After choosing your complimentary beverage, you’re invited to relax in the lounge and get to know the kitties.Spend an hour playing with cat toys, working on puzzles, or cozying up with a coloring book or good read.All cats in our care are adoptable! We proudly partner with local shelters to find loving homes for cats in need. Every cat is fixed, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready to be loved by you and your family.

Each visit, adoption, and donation helps us continue our mission to rescue, care for, and rehome cats in need.
In order to promote a safe and enjoyable space for guests and the kitties, please abide by the following rules:
Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times.
Do not open the door between the café and the doggy daycare.
Be kind to our kitties. Use gentle touch and soft voices. Do not chase cats or pull their ears or tails.
Let the cats come to you. Cats are naturally curious and will approach as they feel comfortable. You may pet a sleeping cat, but sleep is important for the kitties so do not wake them.
Keep food and drink away from the cats. Their stomachs are sensitive and people food or drink can make them very ill. Cat treats are available for purchase at the front desk.
Pet cats on their head and upper back, and remember most cats will claw/scratch if you touch their stomach area.
Be aware when entering or exiting the café. Cats are quick and sneaky!
We reserve the right to ask you to leave if your behavior is deemed harmful to the cats. No refunds will be offered in this case.

Donation Day
Donation Day is the first Thursday of each month! In lieu of the regular $15 entrance fee, guests can enter all day long with any donation of things needed at the café: cleaning supplies, cat food, litter, etc. Browse our Amazon wish list below for more ideas!
Wine Wednesday
Wine Wednesday is the second Wednesday of each month, from 6 to 8 pm. Wine, snacks, and two whole hours of café time with the kitties are included in the $25 rate! This event is for women 21 and older.
Book Club
Book Club is the third Monday of each month, from 6 to 8 pm. We read a different book each month — check out what the next read will be on our Facebook page. Snacks, drinks, and two whole hours of café time with the kitties are included in the $20 rate!
Yoga with Cats
Bring your own mat and get ready to stretch and laugh as you do yoga with cats! This event is held periodically and spots fill quickly, so keep an eye out on our Facebook page. for the next date!
Birthday Parties
Have a meow-gical birthday by having your or your loved one's party at the café. When you host a party with us, you get real cat centerpieces at no extra charge! :) Call the café at 913-712-8865 or email us to get the party planning started.
